Look for the green PAKRAT Bus in a neighborhood near you again in the summer of 2017!
LEAF announces that it has received an
anonymous $25,000 gift through the Central Minnesota Community Foundation for
the purpose of “augmenting and sustaining”
the PAKRAT (Partners And Kids Reading A-lot Together) Program.
PAKRAT is a child-literacy and parent involvement program formed through a partnership between District 742 and LEAF.
Bruce Hentges, LEAF Executive Director said, “This anonymous gift will go a long way toward ensuring that the PAKRAT Program will be able to continue to provide quality replacement books for both the school-year and summer PAKRAT Program. The summer Roll & Read Program impacted over 2,000 students this year and checked out 5,751 books from mid-June to early-August.”
