Tech Future Health Professionals Excel at MN HOSA State Leadership Conference

Members of Tech High School’s HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) student organization participated in the MN HOSA State Leadership Conference on March 28-30, along with over 300 students from 25 schools around MN. The event gives students an opportunity to participate in over 50 different competitive event offerings, as well as attend educational sessions and network with other students and professionals who are passionate about health care.

The SLC also determines the state’s international qualifiers (the top three finishers in each category), who are eligible to attend the International Leadership Conference being held in Orlando, FL in June. Tech HOSA’s finalists and international qualifiers and their corresponding events are:

  • 1st Place, Public Service Announcement: Brinley Deopere, Tori Gehling, Shelby Vogel
  • 2nd Place, Public Service Announcement: Grace Heck, Jeeho Sohn, Brenna Weaver
  • 3rd Place, Nursing Assisting: Haillie Rollins
  • 3rd Place, CERT Skills: Justine Hase, Haillie Rollins
  • 3rd Place, Health Career Display: Grace Miller, Brielle Tesmer
  • 4th Place, PSA: Brinna Doom, Mardi Marek, Jaclyn Merchlewicz, Amanda Peterson
  • 4th Place, HOSA Bowl: Brinna Doom, Megan Maiers, Taylor Maiers, Mardi Marek
  • 4th Place, Public Health: Megan Maiers, Taylor Maiers, Grace Miller, Brielle Tesmer
