SCAYBA (St Cloud Area Youth Basketball Assoc) is looking for a few more girls to play on a 7th grade girls travel basketball team.
Travel basketball is open to kids of all abilities! Whether your child has been playing for years or just wants to learn more about the game and meet new friends, travel basketball is an option for them. It is amazing to see the progress and confidence of players as the weeks progress throughout the season!
The girls will get 2 practices a week at a local school gym for 1.5 hours each, 8 tournaments, a uniform and their own shooting shirt with their last name on it to keep! It's a great way for girls to meet other girls from different schools and have fun learning a team sport. Practices start the end of October and the season will end at the SCAYBA tourney Feb 22/23.
The tournaments are often local and only require a day or even a half day on the weekends. I know many people think of travel sports to be all weekend long with hotel stays every weekend, however that is not the case with basketball. There are several surrounding towns, such as Foley, Sartell, Sauk Rapids, Albany, Annandale, and many more that host 1 day tournaments.
We would love to have you to give travel basketball a try. Please contact Tina Mork if you have any questions at email@example.com or Todd Dingmann, firstname.lastname@example.org or 320-250-6612.
If on free or reduced lunch, we do offer scholarships.
If interested, please contact us by Wednesday Oct 23rd. For more info, you can check out our website at www.scayba.com.
