• I am Jordan Mathiasen, the social studies teacher and a case manager in the middle school at Katherine Johnson Education Center in the Saint Cloud School District. I am looking forward to a great school year and want to introduce myself to you.

I was raised in Saint Cloud and I am a product of District 742, graduating from Apollo in 2008. While growing up, I was very involved in sports, including baseball, football, and hockey. At Apollo, I played football and baseball.

After graduating from Apollo, I attended Saint John’s University and played football for the Johnnies for two years. While at Saint John’s, I majored in Social Studies education and minored in history, coaching, and secondary education. I graduated from Saint John’s in 2012 and immediately started working towards a masters degree in special education by attending Concordia-St. Paul University. I have attained a masters degree in special education with teaching licenses in Emotional Behavior Disorders (EBD) and Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD).

The 2022-2023 school year will be my tenth school year as a teacher. I taught social studies for a year at Apollo, then taught special education at Tech and ALC-McKinley for one year. I then taught special education for four years at Maple Lake High School. This school year will be my fourth at Riverwoods. I have coached football at Apollo for 12 years and also coach softball for the St. Cloud Crush. I am excited to be teaching in District 742 and to be part of a school district that provides a multitude of opportunities for its students!

If you have any questions, concerns, or information to share, please do not hesitate to contact me at (320)370-6909 or by email at jordan.mathiasen@isd742.org. The best time to contact me by phone is during my prep period on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 1:35-3:15 or on Fridays.
