Mrs. Bibeau
I am the academic coach at Discovery Community School. In this role, I work in partnership with teachers, building leadership, and the Learning and Teaching Department to support student learning in all content areas. My primary way of doing this is by providing coaching support for licensed staff, with an emphasis on non-tenured teachers. I also help to facilitate the co-teaching efforts and instructional initiatives for our school as well as provide professional development to our licensed staff.
Teaching Experience:
Before transitioning to the role of academic coach at Discovery Community School, I taught first grade at Discovery for three years.
Prior to teaching at Discovery, I taught second grade at Madison Elementary School in St. Cloud and pre-kindergarten at an urban school in San Francisco, California. My other experience in education includes serving as a preschool literacy tutor with the Minnesota Reading Corps in Stillwater, implementing educational programming at the Science Museum of Minnesota in St. Paul including managing their Preschool Playdates program, volunteering at the Minnesota Children's Museum in St. Paul, and providing theater workshops and camps to children with the Children's Theatre Company in Minneapolis and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Minnesota.
