I am Eric Dylla and I am the sixth grade counselor at South Junior High for the 2018/2019 school year. I have my Masters of Science degree from St. Cloud State University in School Counseling and am a Licensed School Counselor. This is my seventh year as a school counselor at South and I am so excited to get to know the incomming class of 2028! I have a passion for helping every student to be in a healthy social and emotional state in order to promote a productive and positive learning environment. Middle school is a time for students to begin to discover their own personalities and interests. Students discover traits that they will carry with them throughout the rest of their lives. It is important for students to have a school counselor available to assist in navigating academic, and social decisions. As a school counselor, I meet with students to discuss a variety of topics, ranging from peer problems, to troubles with study skills and organization, to managing emotions.
If you have any questions or concerns about your student's social, emotional, or academic well being, please feel free to contact me at school. I would be more than happy talk with you. I am in the office Monday through Friday from 7:45 to 3:50.
