Merith Starren M.A., CCC-SLP
I am a Speech Language Pathologist working in the preschool setting. I have been with the district since 1999 based first at Washington, then at Roosevelt, next at Colts Academy, and finally the new Quarryview Education Center. I provide speech services within the preschool classrooms and also lead the speech intervention classroom 2 days per week. The speech intervention room allows for the delivery of intense, comprehensive articulation and phonology instruction at the level of each child with me as the main teacher. It is a unique way to serve students and I believe one of the best! ISD 742 is one of the only area districts to offer this option!
Email is the best way to reach me, so please feel free to contact me with questions, comments, or concerns. You may also leave a message on my district voice mail and I will return your call as soon as possible.
I earned my Bachelor of Applied Science degree (BAS) and Master of Arts degree (MA) from the University of Minnesota Duluth and hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
